Rice is a staple food in much of the world and hence increasing its production is of special interest. Its productivity is severely affected by soil salinity, drought, low and high temperature and other abiotic stress condition. Nucleotide sequences of 88 genes (Table1) which are responsible for abiotic stress in rice were retrieved from Map Viewer and ENTREZ nucleotide database of NCBI and other rice databases. By different tool like Dragon promoter, finder, promoter, Scan and Softberry promoter region for these genes were found .By multiple alignment sequence homology has been observed in the promoter region of abiotic stress related genes, heat, water, and drought and ABA responsive genes as shown in Figure 3, 4, 5, and 6 respectively.
