A Gene prediction tool called GePre has been developed in PERL. The web interface uses CGI and a front end for data input and viewing the results has also been developed. The tool is available at Bioinformatics Internet local Server. The work flow of the algorithm is as under. Input sequence as single string, check for the accuracy of sequence, search for ORFs, find promoter by applying matching conditions. The promoter is joined to stop codon and find exons in open reading frame.
